Immediate opening for HIGH POWER TEST LAB TECHNICIANS. Support engineering and marketing teams and conduct testing for outside customers:
- Conduct high fault current, surge testing, time current and cycling testing in accordance with test standard specifications.
- Maintain all of the lab's power generation and associated test equipment.
- Cross train lab personnel and associates on all procedures associated with the labs.
- Maintain high degree of working knowledge of listing services standards.
- Evaluate test data and test performance to support Design Engineer's theories
- Recommend upgrades and justify reasons for safety, power generation and data acquisition upgrades
- Assist on team projects as required
- Keep the lab and equipment clean
- Must be willing to work overtime and assume varied hours including second shift.
- Complete maintenance on time and keep the proper maintenance documentation up to date.
Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Training Requirements:
- ISO/IEC 17025 Training
- ISO 9001 Training
- Standards: UL, CSA, IEC
