Senior Research Associate, Pharma Assays and Analytics at AppleOne
Position Summary We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Senior Research Associate, based in our Hopkinton, MA facility, supporting the Pharma Assay and Analytics group in the execution of R&D workflows. THIS IS A CONTRACT-TO-HIRE JOB, 3-6 months contract period. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Validate and Perform Cell-based and Enzyme-based assays and related procedures using manual and automated liquid handling equipment, including but not limited to: Enzyme Activity Analysis Cell-Based Assays Viral transduction Workflows (BL1/BL2) Quantitative PCR Analysis/ddPCR Radiometric Binding Analysis and Radioactive Assay Workflows High Content Cell Screening Flow Cytometry Cell Culture PAGE/Western Analysis Assist with development of new service offerings and introduction of new equipment and/or techniques Requirements BS or MS in Biochemistry or related field with 1-5 year?s work experience Radioactive assay workflows in the context of kinetic parameter determinations desired Plate-Based, manual liquid handling experience required, automation experience preferred Cell culture/handling experience required and familiarity with High Content Analysis methods and experimental design preferred Competence in using Microsoft Excel/Statistics software for data analysis and competence in data analysis methodology Attention to detail and ability to solve problems/troubleshoot Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrix environment without compromising quality and /or timelines Work Environment Work is performed in an office and laboratory environment. May be exposed to biological and chemical hazards. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 30lbs. Must be able to work while wearing personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, and lab coats deemed necessary to protect testing and to protect employees.
