Senior Project Engineer at Automated Systems, Inc.

Project Engineer Job Role Summary:
The Project Engineer is responsible coordinating and tracking the tasks and action items for one or more projects.
This role is a combination of a Project Manager and Project Engineer. The ideal candidate will manage a project schedule, use MS Project for timelines, host project review meetings, asses risks to timelines, manage budgets, PO's, invoicing, and adjusting budgets as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare project execution plans, project schedules, and project budgets.
• Maintain project schedules to show actual progress.
• Schedule and lead project review meetings.
• Track action items.
• Coordinate Catalent and contract resources for equipment modification, calibration, and repairs.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of related industry experience is required.
• Prior experience leading project teams required.
• Experience working in an FDA regulated operation is preferred.
Computer Skills:
• Must be proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Must be proficient in MS Project.
Other Skills and Abilities:

• PMP preferred but definitely a nice to have.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time and adjust priorities as necessary.
• Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet tight timelines and shifting priorities.
• Excellent organizational skills.

• Must be self-motivated, able to work autonomously and have a proven ability to work in a team environment.
  • Manage project teams performing design engineering, procurement, and construction project management
  • Maintain project documentation for project planning
  • Develop the project engineering plan
  • Perform other project engineering and project management related duties
  • Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress
  • Conduct construction and project installation
  • Develop project objectives and project scope
  • Manage intermediate engineering project teams
  • Provide training on capital project management and engineering design
  • Coordinate project design and development of construction documents
  • Support initiatives with capital project engineering
  • Manage campus electrical engineering projects and other construction projects
  • Supervise construction and commissioning of engineering projects
  • Coordinate construction phase of project
  • Maintain project design and commissioning documentation
  • Manage engineering and project records
  • Manage projects from early conceptual engineering through project completion
  • Work with outside engineering firms for assistance in engineering design, project management and project facilitation
  • Perform preliminary process engineering/design work
  • Recommend advantageous changes to the project team leader or project engineer
