Remote Polygot Developer at Vaco Technology

What we're looking for:

The opportunities in front of us far exceed our small-but-mighty engineering team -- and that's why we need your help! We are rapidly growing R&D, giving you the opportunity to play a key, early role in establishing both the technology platform and the team culture that will form the core of our growth. We are seeking hands-on technologists to collaborate directly with our founding product and engineering leaders to bring our vision to our nation's healthcare entrepreneurs.

Our work and ambitions are broad, and include both national-scale data storage and processing as well as front-end experiences for our builders and their patients. Our evolving tech stack currently includes Go, Java, protobuf, React, Snowflake and AWS. With broad needs and a small team, we're looking for engineers eager to jump into the next challenge and committed to learning what we need to make the magic happen.

As an early member of our team, you will...

    • Roll up your sleeves and build some great technology, designing and implementing solutions that support and accelerate our healthcare builders.
    • Grow projects from conception to use at scale.
    • Collaborate with your R&D colleagues, working together to build the highest quality and most trusted healthcare platform in the industry.
    • Help recruit top-notch, diverse talent to our R&D team, building our team and culture as an early member of engineering.

You're a good fit because...

    • You are excited to ~finally!~ enable a true digital revolution in healthcare.
    • You're a top-tier technologist, producing world-class technical solutions and committed to honing your craft and sharing that knowledge with your colleagues.
    • You are driven by our communal impact, creatively finding opportunities where our technology can provide unexpected value.
    • You iterate quickly, trying something and then trying something else if it doesn't work out.
    • You thrive amid the changing landscape of a growing and evolving startup.

And it would be awesome if you were...

    • Experienced in building and running large-scale systems in the cloud.
    • Experienced in building services and APIs used by third-party developers.
    • Familiar with building engineer and/or consumer-facing UIs.
    • Knowledgeable about application security.
    • Experienced working with healthcare data and APIs.
