The Department Assistant II position provides primary Medical Interpretation for OPD department. Individual also serves as the Outreach Coordinator and is responsible for the coordination internal /external outreach clinics including: coordinating the clinics, scheduling clinics, staffing, patient appointments and follow up for ordered tests, performs E&M coding and facility charge audits. Works in conjunction with the clerical staff in managing patient information, preparing for clinics, addressing patient inquires and problems. This position also will assist in scheduling outside provider appointments for clinic patients in accordance with provider orders.
Qualified candidates must be bi-lingual (Spanish) speaking, have Medical Interpreting Certification, medical terminology and ability to occasionally travel. Strong computer, customer service skills and ability to manage time and multiple priorities is a must. Previous medical office and scheduling experience required.
