Order Entry and Purchasing Associate at EAW

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY

EAW is looking for an Order Entry and Purchasing Associate to be based at the company headquarters in Whitinsville, MA. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter with experience in sales, sales support, and purchasing roles. This is both an internal and external facing role requiring a passion to interact with people across business and departmental boundaries. The primary responsibilities are to ensure that orders are entered and filled on time. Preference will be given to those who display high ownership, enthusiasm, and a proven ability to execute.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

· Enter orders as received by email per the established process

· Create picklists, commercial invoices, and invoices

· Coordinate transportation from warehouse to customer destination

· Facilitate returns per the established process

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

· Accurately report on the status of open orders and monthly sales forecast

· Assist the Planning Manager with placing new material orders and monitoring their expected delivery date

· Assist the sales team by transacting demo product and arranging transportation

JOB SCOPE

This position has a wide diversity of work situations, and requires good organization skills, working quickly while maintaining accuracy, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Success in this position will be evident through the efficient and smooth execution of customer orders. Process driven proactive communication is critical.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None

INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS

Frequent contact with customers, independent reps, and vendors is a significant portion of this role. Internal communicaiton with the order entry team, president and sales team is also critical. Expect significant elecronic communications as part of this role.

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES

· Enter orders into SAP and keep dates updated as conditions change

· Create picks lists and send them to the warehouse

· Work with Purchasing Manager to place new purchase orders and update dates as conditions change

· Enter Advanced Replacement and Returns

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

· Solid PC computer skills across Microsoft office programs

· Experience in a sales role is a plus and SAP Business One

· Experience with international order entry and fulfillment are a plus

JOB CONDITIONS

· Work in an office environment at a desk on a computer/screens. Extended periods of time sitting and typing

· No travel required

· Occasional overtime when required to meet customer deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
