We are assisting an IOP program in Lynn, MA with their search for a full-time substance abuse clinician. The program specializes in treating adult clients through their substance use recovery. The position requires the clinician to work in the office but they will be conducting sessions through Zoom.
Job Description:
- Select and implement evidence-based groups and treatment interventions for the program on a daily basis.
- Complete intake assessments for incoming clients.
- Develop treatment plans with clients new to the program.
- Evaluate and assign clients to co-occurring tracks relevant to their efforts in recovery.
- Complete daily progress notes for assigned clients.
- Facilitate the (unobserved) drug screening process.
- Interpret drug screen results.
- Clinically confront clients regarding inconsistent drug screen results.
- Communicate with referring sources when necessary (i.e. probation, DCF, etc.).
- Follow through with disciplinary protocols with clients when necessary.
- Work with the clinical team to refer clients to appropriate aftercare supports.
- Participate in weekly clinical rounds with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Work with the multi-disciplinary team to prepare for program audits.
- Engage in supervision with senior clinicians. Depending on experience and licensure may also provide supervision to junior clinicians.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in the behavioral sciences with interest/specialization in substance abuse/use.
- Independent clinical license (LICSW, LMHC).
- Pass a drug screen; random drug screens may be conducted over the course of employment.
- Pass a CORI check which will be conducted at hire.
- Lived experience in recovery preferred, but not necessary.
