Job Description:
- Reporting directly to the GTO Director, Data, this role will interact with the data owners and data professionals across the organization. The role will be managing key data governance processes and not limited to data change process, data impact assessment process, supporting the data governance meeting for the US gas business unit while ensuring that the Gas Business Unit remains compliant with the BMS data management standards.
- You will collaborate with the IT data governance team to ensure progress towards plans the Data Management Business Management System (BMS). You will support in defining and driving the Data Strategy across the US gas businesses, focusing on providing data assurance services to gas business unit. Working with stakeholders to pro-actively ensure we "do the right things" regarding data standards, governance, technology and capabilities.
- Responsible for effective collaboration and communications between GBU, GBE program, and IT. Data capabilities and the data communities, maintaining the engagement model via data governance and assurance activities.
- Management of Data Governance team, their work activities, priorities, performance and development
- Lead the development, implementation and stabilization of Data Governance activities across GBE and GBU
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the data governance analysts, data owners, data management specialists, Data architects, Value Stream Directors and IT and GBU stakeholders to execute Data Change Process and extend the data change process across the gas business unit (include legacy applications)
- Collaborating with the Data Quality Management on the IT Gas Business Unit investment plan to conducting the evaluation of the investment from a data quality feasibility
- Create and support the data strategy for the GBU
- Maintain and expand the data and reporting catalogue capability
- Perform annual audits for NDAs, ISAs for the GBU to ensure data security
- Facilitate the Data Governance meetings
- Support Data Remediation activities
- Responsible for the maintenance of the DM Project Plan
