Electrical Test Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Assembles and modifies high voltage power supplies per manufacturing drawings and specifications • Test product to ensure proper operation per established test criteria • Troubleshoot product down to the component level to determine cause and remedy of any malfunction • Ability to solder boards • Perform required repairs to failed units • Operate oscilloscope, meters, test fixtures, small power tools and understand their use and function • Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision. • Fill out test data sheets • Work with voltage up to 10kv Education and Experience: • Minimum of high school education or GED and 5 years of related factory experience. High voltage experience a plus • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Following established methods and procedures, must be able to troubleshoot in a logical manner • Use and be familiar with test equipment, interpret visual aids and must be able to read BOM's. • Set-up test equipment and fixtures unassisted • Read and understand complex schematics • Able to perform common electronic calculations Training Requirements: • General Safety. • Electrostatic Discharge Awareness. • Quality System Awareness. Physical Demands: • Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials. • Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach. • Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing. Personal Protective Equipment: • The use of Safety Glasses may be required. Work Environment: • Work performed in a shop environment. • May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the test process.
