Scientist - Drug Delivery
Suono Bio is a biotech company specializing in the ultra-rapid delivery of novel therapeutics to the gastrointestinal (GI) tract via ultrasound. Born from Professor Robert Langer's laboratory at MIT, the company's platform delivery technology enables the localized administration of therapeutics, including biologics and nucleic acids, in a formulation-independent manner.
We currently seek a highly motivated, driven, and collaborative Scientist with experience in formulation development, drug delivery, and absorption testing to contribute to the company's Product Development programs. The chosen candidate must possess an outstanding track record that demonstrates a proven ability to drive research progress, including the ability to independently design, implement, and troubleshoot experiments and effectively present results and research plans.
Responsibilities
1. Design and carry-out critical experiments
2. Tissue dissection and handling
3. Design and implementation of experiments to assess drug delivery using in vitro models
4. Formulation development and characterization
- Design of experiments (assess impact of ingredients on physical transport properties)
- Prepare samples for testing and analysis (in-house and external labs)
- Interpret data and screen formulations
5. Pre-clinical animal studies6. Identify, select and purchase laboratory testing equipment as needed7. [Mid-term] Help coordinate CRO and consultant activities for outsourced studies8. Execute and document laboratory studies with a high degree of technical rigor9. Scientific writing and presentation

Qualifications
- Ph.D. with a proven record of publication OR Bachelor's degree with 3 years bench experience within biopharma
- Experience with animal handling / testing and tissue handling, storage, and preparation
- Experience with drug delivery studies a plus
- Well-developed analytical skill set applicable to drug quantification (small molecule and biologic)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
