WHAT YOU'LL DO
Be part of a team that is transforming BCG into a bionic company! In 2017, BCG introduced our internally-facing Finance Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). We are now building a centralized Business Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) function that will simplify and automate information delivery—providing advanced insights and analysis to support decision making. To date, the team has launched and operationalized several global scale products and dashboards, enhancing how our leaders engage in information to manage the business.
This EDW holds information from many of BCG's central enterprise applications. It was built with a sophisticated multitiered architecture to ensure a secure, accessible, and scalable environment. Throughout 2021, we are migrating the Oracle 12c and ODI 12c EDW tech stack to Snowflake/DBT, while continuing to support 1,000+ analysts using Business Objects, API's and other integrations, and feeding ~ a dozen downstream global Tableau dashboards.
We are seeking an individual to manage this enterprise asset and provide architectural and technical leadership to our Agile team. Other responsibilities include collaborating with Enterprise Data Architecture to enforce architectural best practices and standards, manage the overall health, and build a roadmap that is consistent across the Finance BI&A teams (both EDW and Digital Products).
While working with this group, the candidate will be responsible for BCG's EDW in terms of health, quality, roadmap, and standards. Much of the work will be around integrating new sources, enhancing KPIs, and architecture oversight. There will be close collaboration with software vendors and system integrators to plan and design application changes (including upgrades), and shape delivery and deployment processes (including DevOps). Primary responsibility for third-level support of the delivered Hyperion Planning integrations is included.
