Grosser at ProPath

ProPath, one of the largest completely physician owned pathology practices in the country, seeks a Grosser to join our thriving practice in Fall River, MA. This position is based at our New England Tissue Issue office, a ProPath Company.  ProPath is a nationally recognized practice founded in 1966 and based in Dallas and facilities in Houston, Atlanta and Massachusetts. We have over 50 physicians and PhD's on the team. Our over 500 team members are based in 11 different states with physical facilities in three.

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES: 

  • Work in conjunction with the pathologists in providing the measurements of tissue specimens received.
  • Ensure specimens are placed in the processors.
  • Responsible for maintaining the grossing area in a clean and organized fashion.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies necessary for job function.
  • Perform technical and non-technical procedures required to process and submit patient specimens for analysis.
  • Operate automated and semi-automated equipment according to standard operating procedures.
  • Routinely handle biohazardous and/or chemical hazardous material.
  • Communicate effectively in a courteous, professional manner with all levels of management, co-workers and clients to provide quality customer service.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, company and department policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee, patient, client and company information.
  • Work effectively within a team-oriented department and company.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE:

College degree in a field of science.  Must qualify a high complexity testing personnel under CLIA regulations.  Incumbent must be detail- and quality-oriented.

EXPERIENCE:

One year of experience is preferred.
