responsibilities:
The Finance & Accounting Manager duties:
- Manage, train and develop staff. Evaluate and motivate performance
- Ensure US GAAP compliance
- Research new accounting pronouncements and advise on their impact on the business
- Review staff work (reconciliations, journal entries, etc) for accuracy; ensure properly entered into system in a timely manner
- Monitor processes. Identify areas to streamline processes, automate systems to maximize efficiencies
- Oversee accounting for operational functions, resolve complex, escalated issues
- Ad hoc projects assigned by the highest level of the organization
- Coordinate with auditors
qualifications:
Ideal profile includes:
- - 4 year college degree in Accounting/Finance
- - CPA
- - 5 years of accounting relevant experience
- - Prior staff management desired, not required
- Ability to work in large, complex company
- Strong attention detail
- Excellent communication skills with experience working in deadline driven environment
