Assembler at APR Consulting

APR has been engaged to identify hard working Assembler for one of our biggest clients in the aerospace/manufacturing industry.

LOCATION: Middleborough, MA 02346
CONTRACT: 2 months or longer
PAY RATE: $16-$18 per hour, depending on experience
SHIFT: 1st shift, Monday – Thursday, 6:00 am - 3:30 pm and Friday 6:00 am – 10:00 am

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform difficult and diversified technical procedures required to assemble, test, calibrate and repair a wide variety of sub-assemblies and process equipment assemblies, under minimal supervision.
  • Work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, tables, formulas, work orders and written and verbal instructions from supervisor. Obtain work order and request required parts from stockroom. Inspect parts to ensure correctness.
  • Prepare components for assembly. Procedures include measuring signal cable, potting cable, assembling connectors, inspecting insulation, assembling motor transmission and prepping circuit boards.
  • Assemble components, wire harness and calibrate. Perform final tests for functionability, and if necessary troubleshoot problems and resolve. Submit for final inspection. Prepare necessary documentation and forward approved instrument to shipping department.
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports as required. Maintain established quality standards. Ensure work area and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe and orderly condition, that prescribed safety measures are followed, and established company policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-3 years of experience in role
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, written work instructions, and wiring diagrams.
  • Use of hand tools including screwdrivers, files, torque wrenches
  • Familiarity with preparation and application of two-part adhesives
  • Ability to solder components and wiring to printed circuit boards
  • Knowledge of proper handling and installation of electronics including: printed circuit boards, electronic displays, motors. Ability to troubleshoot and identify problematic components
  • Experience using electronics testing equipment including: multimeters, oscilloscopes, environmental test chambers, and computer-based software.
  • Familiarity with pressure testing components
  • Steel Toed Shoes required
